Why is Speciation before Microevolution? In my opinion, it should be ordered afterwards. Does anyone else agree?

A great book to draw upon is Richard Southwood's The Story of Life. Is definitely one of the best science books that I've even read. I would like to see an epoch-by-epoch unfolding of evolution as done by Southwood. Would be a powerful magnet to pull in and refine the articles of Wikipedia.
