A suggestion for future development on the wikibook: Try to link the terms 'hostile environment' and 'robustness'. The latter being very hard to pin down on 1 definition (even experts don't use the same definitions for robustness on a system level).

Maybe this asks for a new section about robustness alone. Were the difference of robustness on a component level (easy definition) and robustness on a system level (hard, ?variable? definition) is explained...
