Talk:Econometric Theory
From Wikibooks, the open-content textbooks collection
OK, brand new book. Moved the theory section out of Econometrics where it originally was. Just beginning to flesh out this book. Any comments, please do be candid. --Alistair 09:44, 30 July 2005 (UTC)
[edit] econometric theory
What is econometric theory? Since I don't know, I probably don't have much to contribute here, but I am in an economics class and I'm trying to find where what I am learning can go. So, for me and future confused editors-- what is econometric theory, and what in the field of study economics is decidedly not encompassed in econometric theory?
Completion of this book? My aim is to finish this book by Christmas 2007. I will see how I get along. Nevertheless, I have written my own (extensive) addition to the contents page. I would like this book to be very much in-depth analysis, have some examples and use matrix algebra, since it is more thorough than using regular one-line notation
What are my aims: 1. Use as many links as possible to avoid duplication of data that can be found in other Wikibooks or Wikipedia articles. 2. Be thorough and cover everything in-depth 3. Use easy-going language to avoid too much bureaucratic-style language and avoid too lengthy passages. 4. I am not sure where to get pictures and graphs, but I am good with the mathematics. I would like some complementation from other "Wikibookians". Whisky Brewer, 21:00, December 28 2006
