Talk:Do-It-Yourself/Soap
From Wikibooks, the open-content textbooks collection
This is a "chemistry-set" description of how to make soap; would a more user-friendly (and less intimidating) set of directions be useful? (That is, a process that might be followed by a home soapmaker, who wouldn't understand what 6N sodium hydroxide is?) I also wonder what purpose the ethanol serves? Ethanol is used in making clear soaps, but most home soapmakers never use it, and it makes the process significantly more dangerous.
