I agree - they are independent of each other in thought and content, and should remain separate.

Definitely keep it separate. As others have said, it does not only apply to novels.

Don't merge. These techniques could apply to any genre, not just novels. Anything from screenplays to short stories to novellas. OTOH, it does need editing. While three acts is one way to approach fiction, it's certainly NOT the only way.Ddpattison (talk) 02:11, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
