I noticed many omissions and a few falsehoods that I cleaned up, would appreciate some help expanding the list under authoritarian regime forms. Clearly this text is not yet done and I would love to collaborate with whomever is currently working on it.
on the definition of Kleptocracy, Saddam Hussein is given as example. I think this example is rather exagerated, and there is not enough evidence to support it (unless you consider american news channels evidence). As an example of Kleptocracy i would suggest some african countries, like Rwanda in 2002 for instance.
- I agree. If Saddam CAN be called a Kleptocrat, the term is only applicable during the sanction period. Further proof that sanctions only serve to strengthen dictators and weaken opposition. Josterhage (talk) 17:07, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
