Talk:Chinese (Mandarin)/Lesson 5
From Wikibooks, the open-content textbooks collection
This is just a list of "For X ... we use Y" which isn't very helpful for the learner. I think it needs to be compiled into a table. I'm learning Chinese and its quite unhelpful to have to remember measure words seperate from the nouns to which they relate. Ideally after measure words are introduced all further nouns introduced as new vocabulary should have their measure words with them.

I'd like to second Glisher's remark and take it one step further. It would be very helpful to have access to an online (or downloadable) chinese dictionary that includes the measure words with the noun. The two resources I am using: zhongwen.com and NJStar bilingual dictionary fail in this regard, which is surprising to me (i am a beginner). Can some kind person direct me to a suitable resource? Many thanks.

[edit] negation with quantity
We've got another bad negation, just like in lesson two: 这本书里没有一个汉字 I think it should be: 這本書裏沒有漢字 or 這本書裏一個漢字也沒有. --Yakowenko (talk) 07:30, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
