Has anyone else checked all this (to date) for clarity, appropriate scope, algebraic errors etc? More, and better, diagrams and examples would probably be helpful too. Carandol 20:27, 14 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Hi all, I have a basic doubt about calculus, in partial differential Equations. ie how to solve a PDE of two or More functions. for eg

 \frac{1}{r}  \frac {\partial (r*u(r)*psi(r)*rho)}{\partial r}

Extend the methods used for systems of ODE's. If the PDE's are linear, for example, it may be possible to eliminate one function and get a single PDE of higher order. Carandol

[edit] Problem

Hi, I found this site very intersting. I still have a problem: I don't know how to solve an hyperbolic partial differential equation like:

f(x)D^2g(x,t)/Dx^2 - D^2g(x,t)/Dt^2= 0,

where f(x) is a positive real continuous function. Can anybody help me please? Thanks a lot,
