I am sorry, but I don't understand how to select the cube in the New empty scene.
Where do I find the "Select Mesh → Edges → Crease SubSurf." controls?
- The article reads create a crease subsurf by *either* using Shift+E or "Select Mesh -> Edges -> Crease SubSurf"... I'm using Blender 2.43 and I hit space to bring up the menu Edit->Edges->Create SubSurf...

Why are these here?
First off, "Set your render level" to....? to ? oh just set it? well it has a default setting, so does that mean I have to change it from the default? Why not make that the new default? What are the levels? What do they do? is higher Better (clearer)? Is it a bad idea to go very high?
Second, "Also, double check that the "Enable modifier during rendering" toggle is on (dark) as it should be by default. "
This setting can be found where? I'd triple check it if I had any idea where to look. It sounds like the stuff I do might not show up in the render unless this is on.
If these render comments are actually in any way useful, they should probably be referenced in the render section of the guide. As a noob, reading this from start to finish, I'm almost in amazement that someone thought this would somehow be useful at this point, especially without providing information on what/why the point of these actions are, and where to find these settings.
As a noob, I'm not going to be able to retain this information until I need it, because it's gobbley-gook.. it's too vague, and a little stressfull because I'm wondering why I don't even remotely "get that" and is it in the wrong place, or am I?
