Talk:Basic Magic

From Wikibooks, the open-content textbooks collection

Looks like this has been sitting here as a stub for six months. I'm very new to magic, but I'm going to build a bit of an outline and maybe add a little content in the hopes that someone smarter than me will fill in the blanks! PeterHutnick 21:29, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

I support that effort completely. Have fun!
As a suggestion, I would recommend that you enlist some help from some of the people who are working on the Magic Wikiproject at w:Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Magic. It would also help if you adding a link from the Wikipedia article at w:Magic (illusion) to this Wikibook, to see if anybody reading that article might be interested in some more in depth content about the topic. --Rob Horning 22:01, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

I read some of that stuff. Controversy knows no bounds. My position is that the contents of my head belong to me, and I may do with them as I please. That said, I only intend to describe "secrets" that one may find in any large public library (or on Amazon.com!). PeterHutnick 22:30, 22 January 2006 (UTC)

I'll try to help out where possible. I've been performing magic for about 13 years so far, and just plan on including the basics that are easy to find in common magic books, like the other people here. I primarily focus on cards, so that's where I'll try to do the most work. --Essie 11 July 2007

[edit] Other works

Not that I'm the King of anything, but Wikibooks has two Magic books, and I think that's plenty. Let's please keep the submissions "general".....do not steal material from workers books, please.Buddpaul (talk) 05:05, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
