[edit] lots squares in columns about name and transliteration
I see lots square simbols in two colums: name and transliteration. My o.s. is windows XP
[edit] Where did this come from?
i feel like this isn't very clear, even to someone who's studied Arabic. The image labelled "self-explanatory" isn't at all - why are only half the letters labelled? The chavi 00:31, 6 May 2006 (UTC)
I think it's a cop out to say that you won't hear or will hear as a different sound the rest of the letters. It's important to teach people how to speak the language, and leaving an aspect like this out will cause major trouble for anyone using this as a legitmate resource.
[edit] Agreed: Not clear
This article is not very clear at all. The pictures have awkward MSPaint arrows, and need more explanation. The table at the bottom is the best part, but some of the letters show up as boxes. These need to be changed to pictures.
[edit] Alienating the Reader
It seems to me that the sentence "just in case you haven't noticed yet, Arabic is written from right to left" sounds arrogant, even if the reader isn't one of those rare individuals who've managed to let that basic fact about their topic of study pass them by. I suggest "Please note that Arabic is written from right to left" or "We wish to remind the reader..." as alternatives. Dorfl 07:07, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
