Swedish School starts when children are seven years old to fifteen years old. In this time they learn:
- svenska = Swedish
- matematik (formal), matte (casual) = mathematics (maths)
- NO, Natur Orientering = Physics and other nature sciences (lit. nature orientation)
- SO, Social Orientering = social knowledge (lit.Social Orientation)
- Engelska = English
- B-språk = free choice of a third language to learn, optional
- C-språk = free choice of a fourth language to learn, optional
