TASKS AND PHASES

This phase of the project involved creating a brand and identity for the AFL club through the ideas and image displayed by the community and local area. This is where the nickname ‘Gold Coast Suns’ was created. The colours of red and yellow were chosen to reflect the sun present on the coast. The predominant colour of red was chosen to represent the team with in the home game jumper. The design of the away and clash jumper was developed to represent the short history of the club but allow for a sense of something building with the depiction of the building surf or wave, represented as white. The team mascot was created to engage the community and the youthful image of the Gold Coast depicted through sunny ray.
