[edit] X-Ray Spectrographic Techniques

Current X-Ray spectrographic techniques are called XAS, or X-Ray Absorption Spectroscopy. XAS is composed of two different techniques: XANES and EXAFS. The two techniques differ in what part of the spectra they analyize: XANES looks at the energies close to the edge and EXAFS looks at the energies past the edge.
