[edit] Benko Opening

[edit] 1. g3

This move ready to fianchetto the Bishop to g2 has many long term prospects of applying pressure on the centre and Black's Queenside. The ease with which White can castle Kingside often aids White's position; the difficulty with this opening is that it doesn't immediately put pressure on Black's position and therefore Black can usually take a setup of choice.
