[edit] Latvian Gambit
[edit] 2...f5?!
- The Latvian Gambit sometimes known as the Greco Counter Gambit. The Latvian Gambit is one of the most vocally disagreed-about opening in chess. Depending on who you read, Black has either lured White into a minefield of tricks and traps leading almost inevitably to a violent death, or given away a free pawn.
