[edit] Main process for new design

  • Decide on 3 different plans to present to the employees.
  • All will be acceptable to the CEO and his goal/vision.
  • Involve employee input and vote for better "buy in".

[edit] How to determine the 3 new plans

  1. Get more feedback for implementation in the 3 main designs.
    1. Determine specific groups or teams needs for their type of job.
      1. More privacy for New Business Ventures group
      2. Quieter areas for the GeoData group for better concentration.
      3. Engineers need room for some documentation.
  1. Use universal furniture and partitions. (modular)
    1. Provide private space that can be reserved.
    2. Executives can have private space, but smaller and with different extras.
      1. ie. no windows, but have white boards etc.
  1. Ensure that the CEO’s vision is fulfilled with the new designs
    1. Lower cost space.
    2. Space that supports collaborative work.
    3. CEO needs to be involved with employee input and the design process.
      1. Fritz needs to “sell” his new vision.

[edit] How to implement the new plans.

  1. Get the employees involved on the final decision.
    1. Set up 3 mock-ups of the different designs.
    2. Get employees vote and last feedback.
  2. Place private areas away from potentially noisy open areas.
    1. Configure the different areas according to group needs.
