Open Source PIM stands for Open Source Personal Information Management. This book describes the philosophy and methods for Personal Information Management from the perspective of Open Source. In this context, Open Source refers to both software and standards that are substantially unencumbered by licensing restrictions and lack of flexibility.

This book is primarily intended as a practical guide for anyone who wishes to consider effective ways of maintaining personal information on a computer with minimal effort and with the greatest degree of personal flexibility.
