Hugh performance improvements can be achieved by adding more RAM memory to the system, especially when working with large sets. However, due to the addressing limits of 4GB on a 32bit system OsiriX needs to run on a 64bit system to benefit from the added memory. This requires the 64bit extension to be separately purchased.
