Benefits over Spring and Shock Assembly[edit | edit source]
This is a set (spring and shock) sold together. It is better than a spring and shock assembly for many reason. They usually come with stiffer springs, and the shocks are matched to the spring rates that they come with. Also they are usually ride height adjustable so you can lower your car at will, as well as corner weight it. A lot of them are also dual ride height adjustable. This means that the spring can be preload at will and the rest of the assembly can be lowered as a whole. The shock as a whole descends through the knuckle and makes it so the shock piston is at the optimal range while being lowered to maintain optimal suspension travel.
