  • Short Overview.

With this version of MiniPro you get the latest add-on for Janes USAF. The best at first. PLATINUM has its own “User Environment” now, created by Davide Cestelli. Only with this environment it is possible to load the mods automatically after the user has selected the mission and the aircraft he wants to fly. No more loading a lot of mods manually before starting the game. With the automatic loading it was possible to add some more mods as before without stressing the user with a lot of preloads. Some examples for new mods are: Different engine sounds for several aircrafts. Different touch down sounds for helicopters, larger planes, smaller planes etc. Different sounds for the aircraft cannons. Blue – Red airbase switching and a lot more.

Also new with the PLATINUM version are the flyable helicopters and new vegetation for all terrains. Many more vehicles, tanks, ships and other objects, made by Gulf Knight are implemented. Also a lot of new pilot pictures from famous pilots of the past and from current pilots of several nations are available. You can select between 3 terrain versions (LOW, MID, HIGH) with a different number of buildings. Also for online gaming you can use these terrain versions. For the “ALL Out War” online section there are airbases with buildings available now. Also it is possible to arm your aircraft with AG weapons or a mix of AA and AG weapons for the “ALL OUT WAR” missions. With earlier versions AA weaponry only was available. Some new training and single missions are included. The new UME missions are made by Jackal. A more detailed description of the new features you get with the single sections of this guide. All parts, written in blue colour are features exclusively available with the PLATINUM version, the parts written in black colour were already available with MiniPro Version 1.02. Let’s start now with the installation instructions followed by the guide, how to control PLATINUM with Davides great User Environment.

  • Installation

If you want to save your rank, medals and points from your current installation of MiniPro please backup the following files: Pilots.ini Simulation.ini

Needed space on your hard drive for the installation and coming updates: about 2,5 GB.

1. Create a folder on a hard drive of your choice. 2. Extract the PLATINUM files into this folder. 3. Copy the Terrain folder into the Resource folder of the PLATINUM version. 4. If you have already any USAF installation somewere, you can use this Terrain folder to copy it. If you don´t have any USAF installation, you have to copy the Terrain folder from the original CD´s. 5. Create an icon from the “USAF Mini Pro PLATINUM.exe” on your desktop. (You find it inside the “Jane's Combat Simulations” folder.) That’s it, Installation is now complete. If you get the error message “Incompatible Game Version” with the first launch of MiniPro PLATINUM, click OK and push the START button again. All will work fine then.
