Course One: The Basics

Course One is built upon learning the basics of the Microsoft Word program and achieving basic proficiency with its most elementary parts. Full comprehension of this Course is encouraged before any attempt is made to move into more advanced areas of the program's use. Please note that, like all the other Courses, Course One bases itself on Word 2003, though almost all of the information is applicable through at least Word 2000, if not Word 97. A summary of each part of Course One is below. At the end of each Part, there is a self-evaluation, with another summing up the entire course at the bottom of this page. If you do not obtain at least an 85% on the evaluations, you should reread the Part(s) on which you have trouble.
