Mikawa-ben (三河弁) is the dialect spoken in Mikawa Province (三河国 mikawa-no kuni), one of the old provinces of the Aichi prefecture (愛知県, Aichi-ken). Mikawa-ben is mainly spoken in western Aichi, while Nagoya-ben is spoken in the eastern half. Mikawa-ben is very similar to Hyojungo.
