Palestinian Authority[edit | edit source]

  • In 1995 the Palestinians living in the West Bank of the Jordan River and the Gaza Strip were given international recognition as a national government unit. At this time meters came into use with franks inscribed “Palestinian Authority” in English. Due to the continuing troubles with their neighbor Israel, little metered mail has found its way to collectors.
