Gibraltar [edit]
- The first meter was placed into use in 1952. All stamps have “GIBRALTER” in the frank.
- The stamps are grouped by purpose:

A1. Universal “Simplex” (LV-25), 1952.

- Upright frank with simulated perforation outer border.
- Country name in panel at top, “POSTAGE” and “PAID” in panels at sides, crown at bottom center.
- M# and “S” prefix in boxes in lower corners.

A2. Pitney Bowes “Automax” (LV).
- Very similar to Type A1, but the crown at bottom is wider and fancier.
- The spacing between TM and frank is narrower.
- M# with “P.B. prefix.

- Frank has horizontal format with crown at top below country name.
