The iPod is a great device to use to view media files. However, the iPod does not accept DVD file format along with many others. It only accepts mp4 files. The next step by step guide will show you how to rip DVD and convert video to iPod by using Cucusoft.

- Download the latest version of iTunes from the iTunes site

(1) Convert Video to iPod
Step1: Free download and save it in your computer and run it.
Step2: With the program open click "Open File" and choose one or more video files.
Step3: With the program open click "Remove" and choose the remove video files.
Step4: You can choose the type of profile you want to convert by clicking it.
Step5: "Profile settings" which can be found on the panel of the main window. They can be adjusted or changed manually according your needs. If you don't know what the setting means, its best to leave the defaults alone.
Step6: To open or select folder where you want to save your target file, you may select the Output folder by clicking the "Select/ Open output folder" button.
Step7: Now all that's left to do is click the "Convert" button and away we go.
Step8: Wait for the process is finished
Step9: By clicking "Abort" , you can abort the conversion.
(2) Rip DVD to iPod
Step1: Free download and save it in your computer and run it.
Step2: With the program open click "Open DVD" and choose one or more DVD files.
Step3: You can choose the type of profile you want to convert by clicking it.
Step4: "Profile settings" which can be found on the panel of the main window. They can be adjusted or changed manually according your needs. If you don't know what the setting means, its best to leave the defaults alone.
Step5: You can choose the type of crop you want by clicking it.
Step6: You can choose the type of resize you want by clicking it.
Step7: To set the folder where you want to save your target file, you may select the Output folder by clicking the "Select Destination" button.
Step8: Now all that's left to do is click the "Convert" button and away we go.
Step9: By clicking "Batch" , you can select another type of conversion.
