Helleborus x hybridus
|Binomial:||Helleborus x hybridus|
The most commonly grown hellebores are the hybrid types.
Hybrid hellebores are clumping, low-growing plants with evergreen foliage and showy flowers in winter and spring.
These plants grow well in both full sun and dense shade.
Numerous cultivars are available in the trade, and the plants freely hybridize so that seedlings are often quite different from the parent plants.
