Two surveys were conducted (online retailing company Amazon and online banking division [OBD]), to ensure adequate levels of reliability, convergent validity, discriminant validity, and nomological validity for a trust scale. Familiarity and willingness to transact were used to test nomological validity of the trust model.

- I am inclined to purchase Amazon's [OBD's] goods and services.
- 1 am likely to utilize the services provided by Amazon [OBD].
