Beginner readers are not expected to have explored much of the storyline. They are presumed to have read a large part of at least one of The Lord of the Rings books or The Hobbit. Pages marked for Beginners contain short synopses of the book plots, introductions to some key characters in the series and overviews of several important locations.
Excluded Content[edit | edit source]
Much of The Lord of the Rings has not yet been explored. Much of the character list and all of the chapter summaries are beyond Beginner level.
