[edit] Introduction

The Internet is a vast sea of information and has a large amount of users. With so many users and the technological advancements since its creation, a culture, or something resembling it is bound to arise. Internet culture is different than real, historical cultures, it is, in the author's opinion, significantly more bizarre and spontaneous than others. Internet culture cannot be quantified because of its uniqueness, which makes it difficult to understand. This book will try to explore different areas of Internet culture.

Internet culture is usually spontaneous and spawns from many different entities. Popular videos, video games, and real life media are just a few examples of the spawn points of Internet culture. When information, such as phrases from these entities "spreads" across the Internet, it can arise in the form of "internet memes" or "viral videos".
