Waterwell Standards Act , O.C.G.A. §§ 12-5-120

General Description[edit | edit source]

The Water Well Standards Act of 1985 outlines the requirements for licensing of well drillers. All water well drillers are required to be licensed by the Act based on the language, "Any person desiring to engage in the business of water well construction in this state shall apply to the council for a license as a water well contractor."

Administration[edit | edit source]

The State of Georgia licenses well drillers through the Department of Natural Resources, Environmental Protection Division, Georgia Geologic Survey.
