â? I found these same things in my article not sure how they got there or how to fix them. So I will disregard them as I know it was not your intention to have them.


Ethics and law in the public school domain often carries a negative view in today’s media. The news, in current (RECENT) years, focuses more on the denial of(STUDENTS) rights to students(CONSIDER MOVING) than any other legal issue that public schools face. Increasing violence in contemporary schools is a serious problem, but one that the media often only covers after an incident has occurred. While a great amount of attention is granted(try GIVEN TO THE USE OF GRANTED IMPLIES ESTABLISHED OR PERMITTED) to a major violent act in public school, the media also focuses on the negative aspects of schools’ prevention programs.


Other significant issues in the current media include: a teacher’s code of ethics, where is the line drawn on the extent of a teacher-student relationship (I AM NOT SURE WHAT YOU ARE TRYING TO SAY HERE MAYBE CONSIDER USING ( ) OR REDUCING TO TEACHER-STUDENT RELATIONSHIP), and censorship versus free speech, the denial of first amendment rights.


Corder was asked to give a speech at her graduation, which is customary for most public high schools. Of course, since graduation is a school sponsored event, the( CONSIDER REMOVING; THESE STATEMENTS CAN IMPLY BIASED MAYBE INTO ONE SENTENCE ) Principal Mark Brewer reviewed Corder’s speech before it was to be given.

Due to the religious message in Corder’s speech that may have offended audience members (CONSIDER REMOVING OR REWRITING CAN IMPLY BIASED; SCHOOL OFFICIALS FELT CORDERS STATEMENT MAY HAVE OFFENDED AUDIENCE MEMBERS, THEREFORE ORDERING ……), school officials ordered her to make a public apology


The boy had other similar issues in school for his repeated use of religious symbols, and scripture in his schoolwork. (CONSIDER REMOVING OR REWRITING CAN IMPLY BIASED OR EXPLAIN MORE WHY THIS STATEMENT GOES WITH YOUR SUMMARY )
