English: Mitosis is a process in which a diploid cellnucleus divides itself (duplicates) into 2 diploid nuclei.
The diagram shows Mitosis and celldivision as a cyclic process.
Polski: Mitoza - podział jądra komórkowego, w wyniku którego powstają dwie komórki potomne o takiej samej liczbie chromosomów jak w jądrze komórki rodzicielskiej. Mitoza składa się z czterech faz: 1. profaza, 2. metafaza, 3. anafaza, 4. telofaza W telofazie zachodzi zwykle cytokineza (podział cytoplazmy), dzięki której tworzą się dwie oddzielne komórki.
