Deutsch: Jacob Michael Reinhold Lenz (1751-1792) Zeichnung von Pfenniger. Als Hofmeister zweier baltischer Barone in Straasburg lebend, lernte er Goethe kennen, der ihm näher trat. Begabt als Dichter, doch von Gemütskrankheit behindert, konnte er auch in Weimar,nicht Fuss fassen. Lenz ist der genialste der Dichter des "Sturmund Dranges", mehrere seiner Dramern, wie "der Hofmeister" und "Die Soldaten", wurden Goethe zugeschrieben.
