Summary

Description
English: Herefordshire Beacon from Millennium Hill. A complex of earthworks needing some explanation. The original smaller iron age camp occupied just the one hill with double ditches and ramparts. Later it was extended both north and south. The latter encompasses Millennium Hill (from where the photo is taken). The motte on the very top is relatively modern (Norman).
