English: Castle Hill and Victoria Tower Castle Hill is a Scheduled Ancient Monument situated on a hilltop overlooking Huddersfield. It has been settled for at least 4,000 years. it is one of Yorkshire's most important early Iron Age hill forts. Victoria Tower was completed in 1899 to celebrate the 60th anniversary of Queen Victoria's reign. and was officially opened by the Earl of Scarborough on 24 June 1899. Victoria Tower is open to the public on certain days of the year.
