Preface[edit | edit source]

This is a textbook in the United States (primarily federal) law of employment discrimination. It is designed primarily for undergraduate students who have an interest in the field, not for law school students who would require a more detailed analysis of the statutes and cases involved.

The text assumes a basic familiarity with such legal concepts as common law reasoning, the creation of statutes, the fundamentals of contract and tort, etc.

Kenneth Schneyer (a.k.a. kschneyer), Professor of Legal Studies at Johnson & Wales University, began work on this wikibook on September 29, 2005.

To maintain consistency, contributors should name each new page "EmplDiscr xxxxx", where "xxxxx" is the name of the new page.
