Exercise 3: Example dialogue[edit | edit source]

Synopsis[edit | edit source]

In the following dialogue a mom and daughter talk about the cold autumn weather. They imagine the cold for Halloween and the cold for Thanksgiving.

Watch out for the word "muy". It means "very." Notice "de" and "el" are combined to form the word "del." "Va ha" is a helping verb See if you could figure out what "pavo" means.

Hija: ¡Tengo frío!

Mama: Como quisiera el calor del verano persistente, pero no paso así este ańo. Es una noche muy fría.

Hija: Si, mami, y solamente es septiembre.

Mama: Imagínate como va estar de frío en noviembre para día de acción de gracias.

Hija: Pero el pav va estar bien caliente.

Mama: Entonces ¿vas a hacer un PAVO en octubre para dia de los disfrases?

Hija: ¡No! Quiero hacer una princesa.
