Parallel Configuration

Several inductors can be connected in parallel to decrease inductance. This image shows inductors in series:

The formula for the total inductance is

${\frac {1}{L_{t}}}={\frac {1}{L_{1}}}+{\frac {1}{L_{2}}}+...+{\frac {1}{L_{n}}}$

When you connect two inductors of the same inductance in parallel, the total inductance is halved.
