Vehicle maintenance plays an important role in driving. Unmaintained vehicles not only experience more faults and require more costly repairs; but they present huge safety hazards to the driver and others in and around the vehicle, including passengers, other vehicles, and pedestrians. Maintenance includes daily inspections and routine service, as well as materials selection for parts such as tires, brakes, and fluids.
