This is a recipe that my Mother gave me and was always used in my family. Sadly she passed away on 30 may 2003. She would have been so proud if she could have seen it.

Why was the margarine doubled? I think somebody messed up the recipe, but I'm not about to bake 2 pies to verify this.

  • I use something inbetween: 2 parts flour, 1 part fat.

[edit] Simmering

The original recipe had the apples simmered in 3 tablespoons of water. First I don't know how that could be done (but I'm a novice), but second it has been removed and apples are raw in the current recipe. But still the 3 tablespoons of hot water have remained in the ingredients section. We should remove the hot water if it is not needed to avoid confusing such laymen as me :). --89.133.3.110 12:53, 20 October 2007 (UTC)
