From Wikibooks, the open-content textbooks collection
Tapioca can mean several different things in cuisine:
- Tapioca Starch — a refined flour derived from the cassava root, sometimes called tapioca flour
- Tapioca Pearls — small spheres of tapioca starch, often used in puddings such as tapioca pudding, and as a substitute for sago
- Tapioca Pudding — a thick, sweet pudding made from tapioca pearls (and sometimes, cooked rice)
