Rapeseed Oil, Canola oil, or LEAR oil is low erucic acid rapeseed oil. Canola is the marketing name in North America, for obvious reasons. Erucic acid is poisonous.

It has a high smoke point which makes it suitable for high-temperature frying. It is also composed of mostly mono-unsaturated fat, considered good for health.
