Cookbook:Nasi Uduk
From Wikibooks, the open-content textbooks collection
There are numerous way to cook Nasi Uduk and also a lot of variation to it. The most easiest one is to cook rice using rice cooker, just like normal rice. And then you will add coconut milk to the water, the main ingredient. It will change the cooking time.
Another way to cook this is to cover the rice with leave and steam cook it. (I am not sure where to add the coconut milk)
Other variation will use broth instead of just water. Some other places use ganja leave, which is not psychoactive because it is not burnt. Some also add daun pandan (Pandanus leave, check wikipedia) to add the aroma after the cooking, usually it is served with fried shallot on top.
I found one recipe on google but I dont own it so I cannot copy it but it can be found here: http://www.indomerchant.com/nasiuduk.html or just check the wiki page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Uduk_%28cuisine%29
