A cupcake pan is similar to a muffin pan, but usually has smaller cups. It is a tray intended for oven use, with shallow cup-like depressions (cups) about 2.5 inches (60 mm) in diameter and 1.5 inches (40 mm) deep. However, there also exist cupcake pans with "giant" and "miniature" cups.
