Cream together:

  • 1/2 cup (118ml = 108g) butter
  • 1 cup (237ml = 225g) sugar

Add 2 eggs

Sift together:

Add 2 cups (1/2 lb or 227g) chopped apples.

Bake at 350° F (177° C, gas mark 4) for 45 minutes. Best eaten warm and with whipped cream. Serves 6-7.
