There are two schools of though in hiring someone for the CI role. Some believe that hiring someone with CI exeprience is the best other believe that its better to hire with industry experience and then train the CI skillsets.
Both approaches seem to work, though hiring a seasoned CI professional helps get a CI department up and running very quickly.
