"Biological Systems" mean life in a biological sense. Lose sight of that while pouring over computer data and you have lost something important; perspective.

So a described in terminology a Biological System is a organic matter working to perform a task; An organism of life is made of groups of biological systems; A control system is a system that regulates another systems; And biological control systems regulate other organic systems to keep them alive.

Control theory deals with sensing a signal and responding to it. Classic control theory is a interdisciplinary of engineering and mathematics.

So when we deal with biological systems and control we are dealing with how life deals with information.
