Using the oval tool creates perfectly smooth oval shapes that can be used in a variety of ways to produce and build on effects within the stage. To use the oval tool, you click and drag diagonally, moving the cursor around to test out the vertical and horizontal options of the shape. Creating a perfect circle is attained by holding down the shift key while moving the cursor to the desired size. The only unique effects used with the oval tool are fill and stroke effects. The rectangle tool automatically creates perfectly parallel rectangles using the same method as clicking and dragging cursor to desired size while having the rectangle tool selected. The shift key in this instance creates a perfect square. The same fill and stroke effects are also applied to the rectangle tool.
