Tanzania Top Bar Hives are a style of top bar hive, which design is likely to have originated from Tanzania. The Tanzania Top Bar Hive differentiates itself from the other common design of top bar hive, the Kenya Top Bar Hive, because it has non-slanted sides.

Non Sloped Side[edit]

Some beekeepers who use Top Bar Hives, claim they see no real difference in the functionality of the angled side walls of the hive. The only important point is the opening of the top bar hive in relation to the trough is not convex.
